So I've finished the Angel portrait, and I'm pretty proud of it. So proud, in fact, that my scanner simply isn't cutting it this time. Since the drawing is 11x14 inches, it doesn't quite fit in the scanner completely. I made a digital image by putting together a composite image, but it looks blotchy and the shading is washed out.
Therefore, I think I'm going to try and commandeer a professional scanner this weekend. Hopefully it will produce a higher-quality scan so that I can get a more accurate representation of the drawing up on this blog.
Today I made homemade butter, inspired by a post on Kayotic Recipes. It was the most fun I've had in a while. If you have some cream sitting in the fridge, you should give it a shot!
