The Bright Side

The Bright Side Project is a brilliant website that hosts giveaways. They feature talented artists and makers of handmade goods like soap, stationary, jewelry, pillows, etc in their blog posts. Some of them are Etsy sellers, but not all of them.

You comment on a blog post by answering a specific, thought-provoking question, and one winner will be chosen from the comments. That's it! It's pretty fun, and the giveaways are really quality stuff. I haven't won anything yet, since the site is popular and the giveaways get a lot of responses - often 200-300. But I'm still hoping!

A few days ago The Bright Side put up a request: "if you are a company or artist (large, small, corporate, or independent) we want to hear from you." They said not to worry about whether or not you are "good enough" for their blog. So I sent them an email, offering to do a giveaway. I was surprised to receive a very kind response from them THREE MINUTES LATER, thanking me for the offer. They said that they are collecting artists for next month's giveaways and will let me know.

I kind of doubt I'll be featured, since it's such a popular site. But it sure would be fun to do a giveaway.
