First, nap. Then, draw.

Lately I've been feeling like I should brush up on the basics, so today I got out a book called "Drawing Dynamic Hands" by Burne Hogarth. I read it for about 5 minutes, then decided to take a nap instead.

Later I did actually get around to accomplishing something instead, though. I drew a hand from this photo reference I found on Deviantart, from Cobweb~stock. (Thanks!) Sometimes hands are fun to draw, and sometimes they can be a huge pain in the butt. Luckily, this one was a lot of fun. The pose reminds me of the famous "creation of Adam" scene in the Sistine Chapel.
