Hint of drool portrait


I am pretty gosh darn proud of this one. He really seems to pop out of the paper in a 3D way.


This portrait is for Jessica of the wonderful stationary shop Tulaloo. I was very excited when she sent me this lovely photo to work from. How can you be sad when looking at a baby smiling at you like that? Jessica's one request was that I minimize the...uh...cleavage going on near the bottom of the picture, which I did.



I really enjoyed drawing this baby, from the drop of drool on his chin to his gigantic forehead which takes up almost half the page. Thanks for the wonderful photograph Jessica, and I hope that your friend enjoys her portrait. :) I'm sure it will be a very memorable Christmas present.
