Inspiration: shimoda7

One of my pencil artist idols is Henrik, a.k.a. "shimoda7" of deviantart. All of his work is amazingly beautiful and realistic, but it was this stunning portrait from one of the most famous Jesus movies that made shimoda7 unforgettable for me. You can see a bigger size on his deviantart page.
The emotion in those eyes...the shine on the sweaty skin...the beautiful light reflecting off of the crown of thorns. Man oh man! I hope I can be this good someday! I guess I need to practice more...
