Lightbox & Sand art

I think it's pretty safe to say that you have never seen anything like this before. I certainly hadn't.

On this clip from Ukraine's version of "Britian's Got Talent," a young artist recreates the story of Germany's WWII occupation of Ukraine on a lightbox covered in sand, accompanied by music. Sounds weird, I know, but check it out. I was blown away by how quickly she's able to create faces and scenes in the sand and how powerfully it all comes together.

I wonder if she got her start by playing in sandboxes as a kid?

  1. I saw this on the news! She was amazing. I can't even imagine how she thought up the whole routine.

  2. Wow, Ukraine really does have talent! I'll bet she stayed up late working on that.

  3. I've seen this too - it's amazing! Worth re-seeing :)
    Merry Christmas :)
