Happy 50th Anniversary portrait, part 1

This couple is going to be celebrating their 50th anniversary soon! (Wow!) It is my honor to create a drawing for them, a gift from the couple's children. The customer needs it shipped by Friday, so I have been hustling to get this finished!

In order to get more detail in their faces, I cropped the photo and scooted the two lovebirds closer together.

I think these are the oldest people I've ever drawn, and it's a bit of a challenge because the skin is so much more complex than, say, a baby's. Still having fun with it, though!

  1. You're doing great! It is coming along very nicely. The couple will be so thrilled once they receive their gift.

  2. That looks even harder than drawing someone with a lot of zits.

  3. Wow, that's amazing! I've always admired people who can draw, and this is so much beyond that. I'm sure the children and their parents will be thrilled!
