This drawing felt like it took forever to complete! I'm happy with how it came out, though; especially the way the shaded background allows their faces and the white hairpiece to stand out.
Soooo I was accepted to the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Go me! Their response to my portfolio was quite enthusiastic; they are even letting me skip some of the beginner classes. I am looking forward to starting in September, and until then I'll keep practicing so that I can get as much out of the classes as possible.
I'm not sure if I'll keep this blog updated while I'm in school - I haven't even been able to keep up with it very well right now - but my Etsy shop will definitely be open. Views have been so low lately, even with regular renewing, that I'm pretty discouraged about it. I heard that Etsy changed their search methods - anyone know anything about that?
I am currently wearing a wet pair of jeans. They are a bit too small and I've heard that this is a way to stretch them out. So far....it's kind of cold.
I am a firm believer that "what you sow" will come back. Never give up, keep posting, keep commenting, put it out there and it will surprise you.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your acceptance and I wish you all the best.
